2,500kg stale meat seized from Karachi’s Empress Market

The Sindh Food Authority has seized 2,500 kilogrammes of stale meat from Karachi’s Empress Market. 

Several shops were selling a month old meat to customers, according to the authority. The raid occurred on Friday.

The team found out that the shop owners had frozen goat, cow, lamb’s meat in their refrigerators. Upon investigation, the meat was declared unfit for human consumption.

The meat will be buried and legal action will be taken against the suspects.
